Jesus Is the Lord of Lords
1. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, manifested in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We also believe in His virgin birth; His humanity; His perfect sinless life; His death as atonement for our sins; His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal return to the earth for His saints.
*(Scripture references: John 14:7; Matthew 1:23; Philippians 2:7; II Corinthians 5:21; John 11:25; John 14:2-3; and John 14:28)
2. We believe that all humans are dead in sin and eternally lost and the only way their sins can be forgiven is through repentance and faith in the birth, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Additionally, we believe that through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, a person can be born again as a child of God. Consequently, we believe in baptism in water, by immersion (after regeneration), in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
*(Scripture references: Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:3; and Matthew 28:19)
3. We believe justification is by faith in Christ alone, evidenced by good works that glorify God. Therefore, we believe in the necessity of continual infilling by the Holy Spirit for power to witness for Christ with our lives as well as our words.
*(Scripture references: Ephesians 2:8; James 2:17; Matthew 5:16; and Ephesians 5:18)
At Faith Victory Ministries International, we believe “for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (I John 5:4). This precept is why our church is called “Faith Victory”. In order to become victorious, one must have faith. Hebrews 11:1 states “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.” Eternal life is received by grace through faith. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world and without faith it is impossible to please God (1 John 5;4; Hebrews 11:6).
. The Holy Bible is not just the Word of God. It is the cradle that holds the Christ child. Through reading the Holy Bible and biblical teaching, we learn not just to know about Jesus, but to know and love Jesus, who loves us so much that He gave His life to set us free and because of His sacrifice, we have the “VICTORY”!
