Annually, the ministry convenes a women’s conference. Through the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, the virtuous woman’s role in God’s kingdom is emphasized. Through teaching on issues that affect the lives of Christian women, each woman can achieve victory in her marriage, family, ministry and career, thereby fulfilling God’s perfect will for her life.
There are issues that are common to every Christian woman one such as whom she should marry, how to be a good wife, how to raise godly children, and how to fulfill the purpose and plan of God in one’s life. God has a role for each woman, and while the world infers or blatantly states that the role of a traditional wife and mother is an inferior one, the Word of God tells the truth.
In the beginning, God created Adam, then after God created the animals and Adam named them all, God created Eve, Adam’s wife and help meet. Adam called Eve bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. The Word says that a man should leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife—the two become one flesh.
At the conference, married women will learn to perform their God-ordained duties as wives and mothers with joy. They will learn what it means to be a virtuous woman and how pleasing their husband and helping him fulfill his purpose and mission in life is an act of obedience to God. Although women’s roles are different, they are no less important; this is true, because when God created mankind, this included woman-kind also. Men and woman are equal, but obviously, different, and when each man and each woman fulfills their role in a Christian household, it will bring glory to the God who created them.
The conference will also address the needs of unmarried Christian women, and a biblical explanation of the three types of unmarried women will be covered: 1) single women who have never been married; 2) women who were once married but are no longer married due to divorce; and 3) women whose husbands have passed away.
Single women will be taught how to wait on God and continue following the biblical mandate from God to flee fornication and what they should do while waiting for God to give them a husband. Women will gain an understanding of the scripture that says men, not women, should find a wife, and when a man finds a wife, he finds a “good thing” and obtains God’s favor.
A difficult teaching concerning divorce, biblical grounds for divorce, and what the Bible says about remarriage after divorce will also be covered. Widowhood and remarriage will also be explained.
When each woman leaves the conference, she will have a greater understanding of her position within God’s kingdom, the importance of prayer in determining who and when she should marry, what being a “good” wife means, training children in the way they should go, and ministering to other women in the House of God. Unmarried women will understand how they can serve God while they are single and those who don’t or won’t marry will learn how to wholly depend on God.
Following are some of the scriptural references that will be expounded on at the conference:
Ruth 3:11 (KJV)
11 And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
Proverbs 31:10 (KJV)
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.
1 Corinthians 7:34 (KJV)
34There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
1 Corinthians 7:15 (KJV)
15But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
1 Timothy 5:9 (KJV)
9Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man.
