Pastor Charles Antwi was born in a small village in Ghana, West Africa. At age 11, he was moved to Paris, France where he lived for 19 years. He obtained a Ph.D. in computer science and later began worked for a computer consulting company. His work with the company, along with his knowledge and specialized computer skills, brought him to assist on a Princeton University project, in the United States. He currently lives in the city of Chicago, Illinois.
At the beginning of his sixth year with the company, he was called to serve Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. As a computer consultant, his work required much travel, and allowed little time for ministry. Therefore, Pastor Antwi resigned from the corporate world and opened a small computer repair and internet café business, near the Thorndale “el” train station, on Chicago’s north side, in the Edgewater community. He now focuses his time and energy on full-time ministry.
Faith Victory Ministries International (FVMI), the church he founded and serves as pastor, was established as a channel of hope for the Edgewater neighborhood, the city of Chicago, and the world. Through giving to those in need and teaching and preaching of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, FVMI brings a message of hope, impacting a challenged generation.
